CAMAS, Wash., June 26, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fisher Investments is pleased to announce its YouTube channel has two new videos highlighting the firm's corporate culture and surroundings in the Pacific Northwest, where the company's Fisher Creek campus is located.
Specifically, the Fisher Investments YouTube videos follow two employees: Kevin Gil and Katie Randall. Gil is Vice President of Client Services and Randall is an Investment Counselor. Gil explains where someone goes to college doesn't matter much at Fisher Investments—it's what they accomplish here that's important. He says Fisher Investments "is a meritocracy. Where you went to school matters less than how you perform… Here at Fisher, we have people with Ivy League degrees and we have people with a state degree. So it's your merit and you dictate that—you control that. You have that opportunity here, which is pretty refreshing."
Randall's decision to work at Fisher Investments was motivated by the firm's focus on putting clients first, and developing talent plays a crucial role in that. In the YouTube video she explains, "One of the things that really stuck out to me when I first started looking at Fisher is that they do everything they can to first make sure their clients are successful and they reach their goals. But they also do the same thing for their employees."
Many Fisher Investments employees, including Randall, live across the river in Portland, Oregon—a great central location to enjoy the Pacific Northwest. In the YouTube video, she says "Portland is a beautiful place to live. You have within an hour radius a mountain, wine country, several rivers, the ocean … you have the high desert."
As the company continues to expand, it's looking to hire many more employees in its Camas office. The Fisher Investments YouTube videos were specifically created to enhance candidates' knowledge of the firm and local environment.
