Statman, Harris & Eyrich, LLC Announces an Investigation Into Subscription Renewal Practices

CINCINNATI, Oct. 10, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Statman, Harris & Eyrich, LLC announces that it is investigating the subscription renewal practices of companies whereby the consumer is solicited to renew a subscription service prior to the expiration date of the initial service. In some instances, rather than extending the subscription period from the end date of the initial subscription, the subscription period is overlapped and the consumer is thereby double billed for the overlapping period. An action alleging in part breach of implied duty of good faith and fair dealing is currently pending in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri (O'Shaughnessy, et al. vs. Cypress Media, L.L.C., Case No. 4:13-cv-00947)

Consumers who have been double-billed for overlapping subscription service periods are encouraged to contact Jeffrey P. Harris, Esq. at (513) 587-4443 or at classaction@statmanharris.com for further information about this investigation, without any cost of obligation.
