New Direction IRA, Inc. Takes Over Administration of Self-Directed Accounts formerly Administered by Nexus Direct IRA

New Direction IRA, Inc. is now the Administrator for self-directed accounts formerly handled by Nexus Direct IRA. The addition of these accounts brings New Direction IRA to well over 10,000 accounts and $1 Billion in assets under administration.

LOUISVILLE, Colo., Nov. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - New Direction IRA, Inc. (NDIRA) announced today that it has assumed the administration duties for all self-directed accounts previously administered by Nexus Direct IRA. Nexus Direct IRA founder Todd Grill, who is retiring, selected NDIRA to take over the accounts and has been working with First Trust Company of Onaga, which will remain as the custodian, to create a smooth and easy transition for account holders. In an excerpt from a letter to Nexus Direct account holders, Grill states, "I have known New Direction's principals, Catherine Wynne and Bill Humphrey, since I first started Nexus Direct and have found them to be both skilled and knowledgeable in the field of self-directed IRAs. I am confident that, with their expertise and the high tech, user friendly account access processes that New Direction uses, you [account holders] will be very pleased with my choice of successor."

With the additional accounts, New Direction IRA now provides bookkeeping, administration, and custodial services for more than 10,000 accounts with over $1 Billion in assets. Bill Humphrey, NDIRA Co-founder and CEO explained, "Over the last 2 years, we have been aggressively implementing new technologies and procedures to empower our clients to take their self-directed accounts to a new level. Our client portal at mydirection.com opens up 24/7 account access. Automated online payments and receipts as well as online based transaction processing is moving self-directed investing steadily closer to the more traditional banking and investing platforms clients are familiar with. MyDirection will soon allow clients to initiate almost all new transactions electronically, expanding on those already available. New Direction accountholders also benefit via access to current info about their accounts, assets and transaction details. Technological advances enable us to continually improve customer service even as we expand our presence around the country and add clients."

Nexus Direct has been headquartered in Minneapolis since 2004. NDIRA will keep a local Minneapolis area office as a base for local educational events and a point of contact for local clients. Account processing will be handled at the Colorado headquarters.
