Joberate Appoints Former Altisource Labs' Dr. Stewart Hu As Chief Data Scientist

Dr. Hu will spearhead Joberate's next generation development of the world's first and only global people directory technology platform that monitors, measures, and scores job seeking behaviors of the global workforce

NEW YORK, N.Y., April 15, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Joberate today announces that former Altisource Labs' Dr. Stewart Hu has joined the company as its Chief Data Scientist effective immediately. Dr. Hu will spearhead Joberate's next generation development of the world's first and only global people directory technology platform that monitors, measures, and scores job seeking behaviors of the global workforce.

Dr. Hu is an experienced data scientist and technologist with an impressive list of accomplishments building high performance computational platforms and data products. He joins Joberate from Altisource Labs, a Boston-based technology incubator, where he worked as the analytic leader to build a Big Data platform for marketing automation. Prior to Altisource Labs Dr. Hu was the senior director of marketing sciences at In4mation Insights. Dr. Hu built a state of the art Bayesian computational platform to animate cutting edge econometric models in quantitative marketing.

Stewart Hu holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Bayesian Econometrics) and a Masters degree in Computer Science. His specialties include machine learning, statistical modeling, Econometrics, software development, and Big Data ecosystems.

Technology that uses Big Data to track job-seeking behaviors of the global workforce represents the next big opportunity in the management and recruitment of people.

Joberate clients subscribe to the global people directory of job seeking behavior information so that they can gain real-time insights into their workforce. The global people directory contains J-Score information about each unique person, which helps companies better understand individual employee engagement, and also helps companies gain a competitive advantage in recruitment by knowing which people to target for new opportunities.

"I'm excited to join the Joberate team to spearhead building the next generation platform for tracking, measuring, and scoring job seeking behaviors, which is displacing traditional approaches with a more effective way to manage talent," said Dr. Stewart Hu. Dr. Hu continued, "As a technologist, I found there is tremendous potential in applying machine learning to talent the management space, but what makes me really excited about joining Joberate, as an economist, is that Joberate's technology will greatly reduce the friction in global job markets thus increase social welfare for our economy."

Joberate clients continue inventing new ways of using Joberate technology. Recently Hudson, a Joberate client, announced a first ever report of Generational Workforces based entirely on actual observable job seeking behavior.

Michael Beygelman, Joberate CEO, commented, "Our mission is to grow Joberate's global people directory of J-Scores to more than 1.8 billion people over the next three years -- having job seeking behavior data for nearly half of the world's employable population -- which will require an experienced Data Science leader to bring into reality." Beygelman continued, "Speaking on behalf of everyone at Joberate we are thrilled to have Stewart join our team, and to spearhead the Data Science that is at the epicenter of our innovative technology platform."
