GRM Completes Latest SOC 2 Compliance Exam

GRM completed its annual Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) examination, which was performed by an independent accounting and auditing firm.

JERSEY CITY, N.J., April 28, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - GRM, a leader in full cycle records management, today announced that it has completed its annual Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) examination, which was performed by an independent accounting and auditing firm. This certifies that GRM processes, procedures and controls meet or exceed all requirements falling under AT Section 101, Attest Engagements (AICPA, Professional Standards).

The formal examination included the Type II evaluation and testing of GRM company controls and operating effectiveness related to the Trust Services Principles and Criteria of Security and Confidentiality.

Because SOC 2 criteria are extensive and independently verified, successful completion of the exam is widely recognized as an acceptable means of assuring a service organization's internal Security and Confidentiality controls without the need for further assessment.

Consequently, the SOC 2 Type II designation gives prospective customers a high degree of confidence that the services they are considering are secure, accessible and implemented with integrity.

"Maintaining confidentiality and security throughout our services is a critical part of our commitment to each and every client," stated Peter Friedman, GRM's Head of Security. "The fact that we are a SOC 2-compliant information management provider demonstrates just how committed our personnel, facilities and processes are to maintaining data protection."
