TROY, Mich., May 18, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Established strategic partnerships solidified the decision of Pearland, TX officials to replace its Enterprise Resource Planning system with software from New World Systems®.
The city licensed New World’s LOGOS™ Financial Management, Procurement Management, Human Resources, Payroll, eSuite, and Decision Support software solutions.
According to Pearland’s Project Manager John McCarter, New World’s partnership and integrations with Laserfiche and Esri, will enable the city to leverage existing technologies and streamline workflows.
These relationships enable the city to continue with its current content management provider, which allows for embedded functionality in New World’s LOGOS platform to enhance document retrieval and archiving. The partnerships also provide seamless integrations with existing GIS and Interactive Voice Response systems.
“Our evaluation team used five factors to determine which software vendor to select for the city of Pearland,” McCarter said. “New World had the highest aggregate score based on its functionality, technical abilities, approach, expertise, and cost.”
New World’s implementation process along with onsite presentations and discussions with city personnel were also deciding factors in selecting the software company.
“The design phase of the implementation will give our staff the opportunity to design systems and processes to fit their needs,” McCarter said. “With a system tailored to our processes and preferences, we can conduct business more effectively.”
According to McCarter, the officials with the city also reached out to other municipalities that are currently using New World’s LOGOS Public Sector Suite before making their final decision.
Going forward, McCarter said the city’s 645 employees will be able to increase their productivity with New World’s software.
