ThreatConnect, Inc. Announces STIX Integration

ISAC and ISAO Members Better Able to Share and Aggregate Threat Intelligence Into Existing Security Processes to Defend Organizations

ARLINGTON, Va., May 18, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ThreatConnect, Inc., creator of the most widely adopted Threat Intelligence Platform, today announced the immediate availability of support for STIX (Structured Threat Information eXpression) in its platform. Using a fully integrated TAXII (Trusted Automated eXchange of Indicator Information) client, all ThreatConnect® users may now collect and send STIX formatted threat intelligence with their own public, private, or on-premises instance.

“ThreatConnect already enables thousands of security analysts to securely aggregate structured and unstructured sources, analyze it collaboratively and take action within their systems,” said Product Director Andy Pendergast. “Now with support for STIX language data, Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs) and Information Sharing and Analysis Organizations (ISAOs) are able to perform analysis in ThreatConnect from multi-sourced intelligence, and share data with one another and their members in this growingly accepted language.”

The STIX language intends to be fully expressive, flexible, extensible, automatable, and as human-readable as possible and is gaining momentum because it enables information to be digested even faster, maximizing the time to identify and mitigate threats. ThreatConnect’s powerful combination of STIX and its API for machine sharing for human analysis creates a complete solution for all communities whether ISAC, ISAO, or a community formed by a single enterprise with its partners.

“Although ThreatConnect has been able to connect enterprises and government agencies in public or private communities for years, the recent emphasis from the Obama administration is driving many ISACs and ISAOs to seek both a language and platform to make smoother connections for their members,” said Christy Coffey, Director of Communities for ThreatConnect. “This STIX integration demonstrates our support and dedication for making cyber threat information more structured and digestible for all.”

ThreatConnect is the most comprehensive Threat Intelligence Platform on the market today. With ThreatConnect, users can easily act on all of the threat intelligence data they receive, effectively share data with trusted connections, and keep historical threat data all in one place.

ThreatConnect will be attending and exhibiting at the FS-ISAC Spring Summit in Miami, Florida May 17 - 20 held at Loews Miami Beach. The team will be available to discuss how financial institutions and FS-ISAC members can immediately begin gaining value and protecting their organizations from a potential breach using threat intelligence in an analytic and collaborative manner.
