DHL and Rugby Canada Unveil Jerseys for RWC2015

- DHL Express Canada highlights hard work and dedication of 1,158 Canadian employees

- Jerseys to debut in the United Kingdom

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 17, 2015) - DHL, Official Logistics Partner of Rugby Canada, will be behind Canada's senior men's team during Rugby World Cup 2015 – literally.

Photos of each of the 1,158 Canadians employed by DHL from coast to coast will be imprinted on the jersey numbers of the 23 players who will be suiting up for Canada in each match during the quadrennial international Tournament, which will be held over six weeks in the United Kingdom starting September 18.

"We are very excited to be joining forces once again with Rugby Canada on this incredible opportunity to celebrate and cheer on Canada in the most unique way," said Andrew Williams, CEO, DHL Express Canada. "DHL will take every Canadian employee to Rugby World Cup 2015... what better way to get our team excited than by making them a part of Team Canada on the pitch!"

DHL has been Rugby Canada's Official Logistics Partner since 2014 and is the jersey sponsor for Canada's senior men's team. DHL is also one of Rugby World Cup 2015's Worldwide Partners as Official Logistics Partner.

The support of sponsors like DHL is vital to the success of Rugby Canada's national programs and is critical to continue growing the sport of Rugby across Canada.

While DHL's Canadian operation is based in Toronto, it has staff from Victoria, British Columbia, to St. John's, Newfoundland. All of these dedicated workers will appear on at least one of the 23 Rugby Canada jerseys.

"This is a really unique idea and something that will highlight and reward the hard work and dedication of the Canadian DHL employees," said Rugby Canada national team member Jason Marshall. "DHL and its family have been an integral supporter of our program for many years and we look forward to having them with us on the field during Rugby World Cup 2015."
