Thinaire and Panasonic Team to Unveil Proximity Video Solution

Partnership Provides Next Step in Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) Displays

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 06, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Thinaire, an award winning pace-setter in Internet of Things (IoT) consumer engagement, launched the Thinaire Video Solutions (TVS), a new offering that combines Digital Out Of Home displays with proximity data to generate higher levels of consumer engagement.

The Thinaire Video Solution (TVS) delivers a new model of advertising and ad attribution, with the support of some of the biggest brands in the world. Leveraging Thinaire’s leadership in the proximity space, TVS enables brands, retailers, and venues to create smart displays that respond to consumers in a number of ways.

The solution leverages beacons, video content management, and the Thinaire Engagement Network, a group of popular apps with the Thinaire SDK embedded into them, to deliver new experiences around Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) displays. Thinaire is also releasing, in partnership with Panasonic, an end-to-end solution for any organization looking to install proximity-enabled displays.

“Thinaire’s innovative platform in the proximity space, combined with Panasonic’s next-generation intelligent displays are creating new opportunities to drive personalized experiences to citizens in keeping with our CityNOW vision and solution initiative,” said Jeffrey Siegel, Chief Marketing Officer at Panasonic Enterprise Solutions. “We are excited to partner with Thinaire on rolling out this contextually-aware capability in stadiums, movie theaters, and wherever people gather throughout a city.”

DOOH has been growing quickly, replacing physical OOH revenue in countries with mature OOH markets. According to PWC1, global DOOH advertising revenue are expected to grow from $9.71 billion in 2014 to $18.04 billion by 2019.

At its most basic level, the solution monitors a consumer’s response to content showcasing on a smart display, engaging the consumer on their mobile device if they’re showing interest in the content shown on the screen. Retailers and venues can leverage this capability in single or multiple locations, managing all displays through Thinaire’s award-winning cloud platform.

TVS is delivered either as a software add-on to an existing Android-powered display or as an end-to-end installation including hardware and software by leveraging Panasonic’s expertise.

“Personalization of our environment is an emerging trend and the Thinaire Video Solution drives a new model of engagement with Digital Out Of Home displays,” said Thinaire’s Founder and CEO Mark Goodstadt. “Customers and partners we’ve shown this technology to have been deeply impressed and are in discussion for rollouts of the solution in the US in 2016.”

In addition, the company intends to offer a number of new plug-in solutions for other popular video management platforms later in 2016.
