MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 4, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Minneapolis's Nicollet Avenue cakery and kitchen, the Copper Hen, will be featured on tonight's CNBC's reality show Restaurant Startup at 10pm est/pst.

Joe Bastianich, and Tim Love, stars of the series are well-known restaurateurs, entrepreneurs and public personalities. They are putting their money, skills and smarts behind backing fresh, breakout restaurant ideas.

Each episode features two teams battling it out for a chance to get the keys to an L.A. restaurant, 36 hours, and $7,500. Once winners move on the to "Pop-Up" restaurant round, they must develop a branding campaign and write a detailed business plan to get backing and win.

"Restaurant start-up was a great experience for us. We learned a lot from established restaurateurs. The biggest thing we learned was how to create a restaurant that appealed to guests from start to finish," said owner Chris Bjorling.

The Copper Hen is a local favorite rapidly growing in popularity. Recently they expanded online to sell eGift Cards online using Yiftee.com.  According to Chris Bjorling  "We're very excited about partnering with Yiftee.  Its very cool and easy to use.  And we love their promotions.  From the restaurant viewpoint we feel well supported by Yiftee."

Yiftee is equally excited about partnering with the Cooper Hen. "We are thrilled to be working with Chris and his team at one of the top restaurants in the hot, competitive Minneapolis/ST Paul food scene. Having won USA Today's 2016 Reader's Choice award for the Best Local Food Scene we know Minneapolis is a dynamic, thriving foodie's hot spot and we are eager to be a part of it.
