361 Capital Files to Launch 361 Domestic Long/Short Equity Fund

Analytic Investors to Serve as Fund Sub-Advisor

DENVER, March 09, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- 361 Capital, an award-winning* investment firm specializing in liquid alternative mutual funds, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch the 361 Domestic Long/Short Equity Fund.

Sub-advised by Los Angeles-based Analytic Investors, the Fund intends to buy securities long that they believe will outperform the U.S. equity market, and intends to sell securities short they believe will underperform the U.S. equity market.

“We understand that many advisors want increased control over their asset allocation models and geographic exposure,” said Cliff Stanton, Chief Investment Officer of 361 Capital. “This Fund intends to provide our investors with a long/short strategy that’s focused on domestic markets, giving them the ability to tailor their portfolios.”

The fund intends to capitalize on the experience of Analytic Investors, a boutique asset management firm specializing in quantitative investment solutions and portfolio management. A leader in exploiting the low volatility anomaly, the firm is widely recognized for innovative research, disciplined quantitative processes and sophisticated risk control techniques. Analytic Investors also serves as sub-advisor to the 361 Global Long/Short Equity Fund.

“We are very excited to partner again with Analytic Investors,” said Tom Florence, President and CEO of 361 Capital. “Together, we’ve combined many years of investment research to create an institutional caliber** domestic long/short equity product.”
