Bell Integrator's Developer Wins Ubuntu Scopes Showdown Contest


SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - April 25, 2016) -  Bell Integrator, a global consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, today announced that its developer, Roman Schekin, won 1st place in the Ubuntu 2016 Scopes Showdown contest for mobile developers. The contest sought to inspire developers to create interesting, new and innovative applications for the Ubuntu mobile platform.

The Ubuntu 2016 Scopes Showdown contest was announced by Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, challenging participants to create an all-new original Scope for the Ubuntu Phone and publish it to the store within just six weeks. Winners were selected by a judging panel made up of Canonical employees and Ubuntu community members.

Roman Schekin, a Senior Engineer from Bell Integrator, won 1st place with his application called Academy, offering quick methods for locating online courses from numerous sources. Roman says, "I am excited to win the Ubuntu 2016 Scopes Showdown. I like working with the Ubuntu community and developing apps for the best mobile OS."
