Houston, TX, July 11, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HOUSTON, JULY 11, 2016—Harvest Exchange, a software platform that powers public and customized private digital communities across the financial services sector, today announced key additions as the firm builds out its software development and data science teams.

As part of its commitment to delivering its users the most valuable and data-rich experience, Harvest’s recent hires reflect the prioritization of securing the highest level of technical talent.

“Harvest’s mission is to optimize discovery, connection and relationship building across the investment industry. We execute on this by ensuring that the most relevant information is efficiently, securely, and compliantly communicated by our professional clients and then curated to the most relevant audience.” said Peter Hans, Co-Founder and CEO, Harvest Exchange. “We place a premium on software development and data science as it’s the backbone of our business and the unique value we provide to our rapidly growing user base.”

Harvest has recently been leveraging the technical talent available throughout the Houston Medical Center, which is the world’s largest.  The latest additions to the Harvest development team include Tri Chu, who worked at the Human Genomic Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine. Chu brings to Harvest a wealth of knowledge specific to building vital software designed to analyze large amounts of complex and sensitive data.

Carter Cole, another recent Harvest hire, most recently served as a Senior Software Engineer with GenebyGene, a biotech company specializing in exome sequencing and DNA tests for population genetics. Cole offers additional expertise in cyber security and artificial intelligence, both of which are key facets of Harvest’s offerings.

Strengthening Harvest’s Data Science efforts, Alex Bisberg joins from DiBS, Inc., a company he helped to found while studying Bioengineering at Rice University. Alex brings to Harvest an impressive skill set rooted in the aggregation, interpretation, and visualization of complex and disparate data sets.

“Our ability to innovate through technology focused on security, compliance and proprietary data is key to the continued acceleration of Harvest’s growth,” says Hans.
