Watson Announces Three Roundtables to be held at SupplySide West in Las Vegas

WEST HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Watson Inc. announced three roundtable discussions to be held at their booth during the upcoming SupplySide West show in Las Vegas, NV. Watson understands that attendees go to an industry show for a variety of reasons, such as to learn about the new trends, to stimulate new ideas and creative development, to build strategic alliances, and to attend educational seminars and networking events.  The company feels strongly that providing opportunities for open dialogue and discussion can add immeasurable value for attendees.  Watson is committed to providing high-quality, collaborative innovation-roundtables.

The roundtable schedule is available on the company website and can be accessed at this link.  Seating is limited so that the group size is kept small enough to facilitate discussion. Those interested in attending should pre-register for the roundtables of their choice here.

The first in this series of roundtables will take place on Thursday, October 6, at 11:30 AM.  The topic will be "Innovation in Spray Drying Technology". This roundtable will be facilitated by  Amit Sinha, Process Innovation Engineer at Watson.  The roundtable discussion will cover topics including micellular dispersion, how to use light refraction to trick the eye, spray-drying, and techniques that can change the appearance of a product.

The second roundtable will also take place on Thursday, October 6 at 4:00 PM.  The topic will be "Beyond masking taste & improving stability – the benefits & technology behind today's innovative microencapsulation techniques".  This discussion will be facilitated by Gary Wada, Process and Technology Operations Director at Watson.  In this roundtable, Wada will explore the real benefits of microencapsulation for today's food industry, as well as the newest applications and advances in microencapsulation. Wada will also cover the technologies available, and best applications of each, as well as how to overcome challenges with microencapsulation.

The final roundtable will be held on Friday, October 7 at 11:30 AM.  The topic will be "Defining and building trust & transparency" which is both one of the biggest challenges and greatest opportunities facing our industry today.  This discussion will be facilitated by Alice Wilkinson, Vice President of Nutritional Innovation at Watson. Participants will explore what these terms mean, as well as what they should mean, and how the industry can deliver on a commitment to close the gap.  Discussion will also focus on how to get started, and how to capitalize on some of the tools we already have, that will help us greatly in this area.

All of these roundtables will be held on the upper deck of our booth, #R157, on the SupplySide West Floor.  Again, in order to facilitate discussion, the number of participants will be limited.
