HAMILTON, Ontario, May 03, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alectra’s sustainability efforts has earned the energy company a seventh place ranking among the top 40 Canadian sustainable companies in Corporate Knights’ annual sustainability ranking.
Corporate Knights released its annual Future 40 Responsible Corporate Leaders in Canada list, which highlights Canadian companies that are top sustainability performers. Alectra – West Region (formerly Horizon Utilities) was the second highest ranked utility on the list.
The criteria used for the Future 40 is based on Corporate Knights’ internationally acclaimed ranking methods that uses 14 key performance indicators (KPIs) within the categories of resource, finance and employee management.
The information that makes up the Future 40 is collected from public companies that disclose their environmental, social and governance data. Being transparent with these answers and providing supplementary data in support of those answers is the way of business for a sustainable future.
