Leadership, Rebranding and Deregulation

C-Suite TV’s Executive Perspectives Live talks about the importance of transitioning and rebranding, which can make or break a company

NEW YORK, June 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Executive Perspectives Live, one of the top online business shows on C-Suite TV, is adding new episodes to its eighth season, starting with Jim Amos, Founder and  Chairman Emeritus, Mailboxes, etc. from the C-Suite Network Conference in Dallas.

Amos sat down with host Jeffrey Hayzlett to talk about rebranding, his formula for success and the complexities of leadership. As the Chairman Emeritus for Mailboxes, etc., which was bought by UPS, he took on the enormous task of having to rebrand two already well-known companies. Hayzlett asked Amos what does he tell other leaders when it comes to making the transition into rebranding, he said, “the passion that you bring to the business, the enterprise that you’re in, is extraordinarily important.”

As a Vietnam veteran, the former Marine shared what it takes to be a good leader in the current business environment. He said, “the difference between a medal and a court marshall is razor thin” because leadership requires risk, risk requires boldness, which mean you’ll lose sometimes.

Amos is quick to point out that the complexities of leadership begins and ends with relationships and a dream. People are what makes the business run smoothly and that trust is the basis for any relationship. He adds, “there are no relationships that can survive without trust” and that in order for a person to be deemed trustworthy, they need to have character, which he says, “character trumps everything.” Amos believes that people are one of the best assets any company can have. “You have to have a positive belief in people” and he admits some of the best, and worst, decisions he’s ever made are people decisions. After all, a “person with a lack of integrity will hurt you every single time.”

All episodes of Executive Perspectives Live are hosted by Jeffrey Hayzlett and can be seen throughout the month on C-Suite TV.

“Our eighth season continues with a former Marine and Chairman Emeritus of Mailboxes, etc. talking about the current business landscape,” Hayzlett said. “The episode offers a refreshing take on what it means to be a good leader, the effort it takes to rebrand a large company and how he defines trust.”
