Light Reading Announces 2019 Leading Lights Awards Winners

New York, NY, May 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the market-leading online community for the global communications sector, has announced the winners of its 2019 Leading Lights Awards program.

Winners included industry giants such as Amdocs, Ciena and Sprint, and smaller but equally as important specialist companies such as CUJO AI, Parallel Wireless, Pivotal Commware and Source Photonics.

The winners of the Leading Lights, the telecom industry's most prestigious awards program, were announced last night during an exclusive awards dinner held at the Grand Hyatt Denver Hotel's Pinnacle Club. The awards were held on the eve of the Big 5G Event (https://tmt.knect365.com/big-5g-event/).

The Leading Lights program comprised 22 categories, recognizing outstanding developments in key areas such as 5G, network security, SD-WAN and telco cloud. This year, new categories were added in the fields of AI/analytics and blockchain for telecoms to highlight the latest industry innovations throughout the telecom ecosystem.

"With so much focus on technology innovation ahead of mass 5G deployments, the number and quality of entries across this year's 22 Leading Lights categories surpassed anything we have seen since we launched the awards, which are now in their 15th year," said Light Reading's Editor-in-Chief, Ray Le Maistre. "This year's winners should be very proud of their achievements, which are setting increasingly high benchmarks for the communications networking and services industry," he added.
