MEDIA ADVISORY: CanadaHelps and Charity Leaders from the Front Lines to Address Soaring New Levels of Demand for Food, Shelter, and Health Services

Findings from new Ipsos poll to be shared at press conference, showing unprecedented demand and urgency for essential charitable services


Toronto, Nov. 07, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CanadaHelps, the country's largest platform for donating and fundraising online, is hosting a press conference alongside leaders from the Canadian charitable sector. Media are invited to attend virtually or in person as CanadaHelps discusses findings from a new Ipsos poll that shows staggering new levels of demand and urgency for essential services such as food, clothing, and health services. Attending media will have opportunities to interview key spokespersons for insights into the increase in demand, needs expected in the immediate future, and the important role of Canadians in rallying together to support charities as they struggle to meet the demand.

Interviews:

  • Requests for 1:1 interviews onsite can be made in advance or coordinated at the press conference.
  • For media that are unable to attend in person, interviews via phone or Zoom can be arranged for after the event with charity leaders in attendance as well as spokespersons from local/regional charities across Canada.
