MEDIA ADVISORY, July 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- REMINDER --
WHAT: Music and art therapy are part of a growing movement toward holistic patient/family centered care. An ensemble of some of the music industry's notable musicians and singers, along with St. Joseph Hospital physicians are demonstrating the power of music and art, in health and wellness. "Celebrating the Music of America" is a free dynamic indoor concert within a hospital setting, and includes complimentary refreshments. Several artists will be on hand to perform, including Hilliard Wilson on bass and vocals, and Indeya who is noted for her compelling five-octave vocal range. Wilson has performed/toured with top artists such as Ray Charles, Joe Sample, Santana and Chicago, while Indeya's experience with top tier artists includes performances/tours with Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker and Chet Atkins. The inspiring art created by St. Joseph Hospital's own Drs. Alain Wu and Martin Feldman will be on display as well. Their artwork celebrates serenity, nature and the beauty of the world. The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange continue to lead the way for integrating holistic care in an outpatient hospital setting.
