The Atlantic Philanthropies Re-Launches Website by Digital Pulp

NEW YORK, March 8, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Atlantic Philanthropies re-launched its website, www.atlanticphilanthropies.com, this past month. The site was planned, designed and developed by Digital Pulp, a New York-based interactive agency. The Atlantic Philanthropies selected Digital Pulp in a highly competitive review process based on Digital Pulp's previous experience with building large-scale content sites, its work with other nonprofits and the expertise of its technology team.

Digital Pulp worked closely with Atlantic to conceptualize and develop a Web presence that draws attention to key program areas, highlights the accomplishments of grantees, and brings transparency to Atlantic's organization. The site now includes a new look and an open source content management system, providing a web platform that can accommodate substantial growth as grant making and programs evolve. A grants database allows site visitors to search for and view information about grants awarded by Atlantic, related articles profile the work of grantee organizations, and a catalog of evaluations, news and reports provides access to valuable resources for the nonprofit community.

The Atlantic Philanthropies are a multi-billion dollar, limited-life foundation, dedicated to bringing about lasting changes in the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people. Atlantic focuses on critical social problems related to ageing, disadvantaged children and youth, population health, and reconciliation and human rights. "Digital Pulp was a great partner on this project. We were impressed by their professional approach and their ability to recommend and painlessly implement a long-term technology solution for our organization," said Kristen Durkin, Communications Director at The Atlantic Philanthropies. Ron Fierman, President of Digital Pulp, added, "Atlantic was ready to substantially enhance their web presence and make full use of a dynamic approach to content generation and maintenance. It was an exciting challenge for us to help Atlantic develop a content strategy and web platform that will allow them to better achieve their mission."
