Peppercomm Wins 2013 PRSA Silver Anvil and Award of Excellence for Outstanding Work With Tyco and TGI Fridays

NEW YORK, June 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Peppercomm, an award-winning strategic, integrated communications and marketing firm, announced today that it has won a PRSA Silver Anvil in the Integrated Communications Business-to-Business Category for Tyco's "The Power of One" program. In addition, the agency took home a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence in the Events & Observances (Seven or Fewer Days) Consumer Category for TGI Fridays "The Last Friday" campaign. Spotlighting the highest standards of performance in the profession, the Silver Anvil Awards recognize complete programs incorporating sound research, planning, execution and evaluation.

"We are honored to be recognized for our work and are thrilled to be sharing these awards with Tyco and TGI Fridays," said Steve Cody, co-founder and managing partner, Peppercomm. "Our listen first approach allows us to come up with a tailored, strategic approach for a variety of service offerings including B2B communications and consumer events that resonates with our clients' target audience and achieves media results."

For Tyco's "The Power of One" campaign, Peppercomm formed an integrated partnership to position Tyco as the global leader in the fire protection and security industry leading up to and following a corporate separation. This mammoth effort required a truly global integrated communications campaign with multiple disciplines (communications, creative, events, social/digital media, and traditional media), multiple audiences (employees, investors, media, customers) and multiple countries. These efforts resulted in more than 79 million media impressions and a shift in the quality of the coverage with a focus on Tyco's new vision under the leadership of CEO George Oliver. Furthermore, Tyco's new corporate website generated 30,000 unique visitors and 80,000 page views in the first week it was live.

In addition to the winning the Silver Anvil Award for their work with Tyco, Peppercomm also received an Award of Excellence for TGI Fridays "The Last Friday" campaign, which was designed to draw new customers, reengage lapsed ones and reward regulars during the all-important holiday season.

In the 60-plus-year history of the Silver Anvils, more than 1,000 organizations have been recognized, including solo practitioners, agencies of all sizes, large and small businesses, top corporations, nonprofits, associations and government agencies. One-third of all Silver Anvil winners have a hard-working program budget of less than $100,000. Additionally, the 16 categories and various subcategories reflect the wide scope and valuable contribution of public relations today.
