Autism Speaks to Host Inclusion Events to Support Local Autism Community

Liz Feld, President of Autism Speaks, to Attend Local Del Mar Autism Event on 8/24


SAN DIEGO, July 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- To raise awareness for autism, Autism Speaks will host multiple disability-friendly events including the largest autism walk in San Diego, Walk Now for Autism Speaks, on October 5 at Liberty Station. Upcoming events include:

  • San Diego Walk Now for Autism Speaks Kick-Off
    August 8, 2013, 6 to 9pm
    Dave and Busters, 2931 Camino Del Rio, San Diego, CA
    Marianne Sullivan, RN, responsible for community outreach and education at Autism Speaks, will speak on the topic of family services and what is available for families and communities affected by autism.
  • Autism Awareness Day at Del Mar Racetrack
    August 24, 2013, 12 to 5pm
    Del Mar Racetrack, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, CA 92014
    20 kids affected by autism will participate in a VIP stable tour and will be invited to the winner's circle following the first race, named the "Autism Speaks Race." Liz Feld, President of Autism Speaks, will be in attendance.
  • Autism Awareness Night at PETCO Park
    September 20, 2013, 7:10pm
    Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101
