IDology and Jumio Partner to Enhance the Manual Document Review Process

Jumio's Netverify Combined with IDology's ExpectID(R) Significantly Speeds ID Validation Process and Prevents Fraud

ATLANTA, GA., Aug. 28, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Jumio, Inc., the fast growing online and mobile credentials management company, today announced a partnership with IDology, a provider of real-time technology solutions that verify an individual's identity and age for anyone conducting business in a customer-not-present environment. Now, customers using IDology's ExpectID® solution combined with Jumio's Netverify, can scan and review a government-issued photo ID and verify identity attributes in tandem, ensuring transactions move forward more quickly and with more confidence.

Through Netverify and the camera on a computer or smartphone, users can now scan an image of their government-issued photo ID as part of the verification process. Once the ID is verified, ExpectID then correlates the data to application input as well as performs additional reviews such as deceased and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) checks. Through this partnership, Jumio and IDology customers not only replace the need for costly, labor-intensive document review processes, but also gain better insight into potential risks associated with an identity.

"IDology and Jumio share the same goal – to make identity verification easy for businesses while simultaneously making that process seamless and without hassle for the customer," said Daniel Mattes, Founder and CEO, Jumio. "Through this partnership with IDology, organizations can further streamline the identity verification process for businesses in gaming, financial services, payments and more while helping them better know and protect their customers."

IDology and Jumio enables businesses with online and mobile distribution to meet KYC and ID verification requirements through real-time scanning, and validation of government-issued IDs from more than 113 countries.

"Our partnership with Jumio allows us to further streamline the end-to-end process of customer authentication, allowing a business to make an informed decision on how to move forward with a customer," said John Dancu, CEO of IDology, Inc. "Ultimately this not only results in time saved but also money as we enable companies to increase customer acquisition while combating fraud."
