Beazley enhances breach response offering by expanding identity monitoring services

PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Beazley, the pioneer in breach response insurance, today announced the addition of CSID's CyberAgent® Internet surveillance technology to the breach response services provided under the company's flagship product, Beazley Breach Response (BBR).

CSID is the leading provider of global identity protection and fraud detection technologies for businesses and their employees. Their identity monitoring solution, CyberAgent®, is a proprietary Internet surveillance technology that detects stolen personally identifiable information and compromised confidential data online. This additional worldwide service comes standard at no additional cost on all BBR policies, and will further improve Beazley insureds' ability to respond to breach incidents and maintain the confidence of their customers wherever they may be located.

CyberAgent® can support numerous languages and monitors a wide range of data including individuals' Social Security numbers, medical ID numbers, credit/debit card numbers, bank account numbers, drivers' license numbers, passport numbers, email addresses and phone numbers. Individuals who subscribe to CyberAgent® will also have access to CSID's Assisted Restoration service to assist them resolution in the event that identity theft is discovered.

"Many companies – both within the U.S. and around the world – hold individuals' personal information that is potentially at risk in the event of a data breach," said Katherine Keefe, head of BBR Services, the dedicated business unit established by Beazley to coordinate data breach management for clients. "This new enhancement to BBR provides additional identity monitoring services for those individuals affected by a breach, including monitoring for non-financial data, and identity restoration services if their personal information has been compromised."

"Criminals are buying and selling identities like commodities via a network of black market websites. At any point in time, CyberAgent® is monitoring millions of data points, alerting registered individuals if a match to their personal information is found on the dark web," said Joe Ross, President of CSID. "Proactive detection of compromised personal information can be a key factor in mitigating the effects of identity theft, or even avoiding it altogether."
