Leading EH&S Provider Will Offer Free Instructional Webinars on New OSHA Regulations in December and January

CHICAGO, Dec. 2, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MSDSonline, a leading environmental, health and safety (EHS) training provider, announced today that it is offering two new webinars in December and January to help safety professionals prepare for important OSHA regulatory deadlines in 2015. The webinars, provided at no cost to EHS professionals, cover changes to OSHA's Recordkeeping Standard, which go into effect January 1, 2015, and changes to the HazCom Standard, via OSHA's adoption of GHS, that go into effect June 1, 2015. Registration is open at http://www.msdsonline.com/resources/webinars.

The OSHA Recordkeeping webinar entitled Changes to OSHA Recordkeeping Standard Start Jan. 1, 2015...Are You Ready? is being offered December 18 and January 8. The HazCom webinar entitled New OSHA GHS Deadlines Fast Approaching: What To Do Between Now and June 2015! is being offered December 18 and January 8. Both presentations run approximately 60 minutes and allow time for Q&A with experts on the upcoming deadlines.

"2015 is going to bring big changes to OSHA's Recordkeeping and HazCom Standards, and it is critical that employers stay in compliance," said Brad Harbaugh, editor of MSDSonline's EHS Blog. "The first deadline for Recordkeeping goes into effect January 1, 2015 and requires employers to follow new reporting rules for employee hospitalizations, amputations and eye loss. On the HazCom front, GHS adoption will bring sweeping changes to safety data sheets and safety labels by June 1, 2015."

In addition to the new, live webinars, MSDSonline has recently added recorded webinars on a range of subjects that can be accessed on-demand, including:

  • OSHA's Lab Standard
  • Canada's Ongoing WHMIS Revisions
  • An Introduction to GHS
  • OSHA Recordkeeping 101

Harbaugh said, "Keeping our customers and the marketplace informed of important regulatory changes is a responsibility MSDSonline takes seriously. That's why our webinars are provided at no cost to safety professionals and are commercial- free."
