Radware Launches Its Newest Application Delivery Controller Platform - Alteon NG 5208

Radware's Latest ADC Fully Ensures Application SLA for Enterprises of Any Size

MAHWAH, N.J., Jan. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware®(Nasdaq:RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, today announced it has launched its newest high performance Application Delivery Controller (ADC), the Alteon® NG 5208.

Unlike a standard, legacy load balancer that's based on a best-effort approach, Radware's Alteon 5208 can provide full application SLA assurance by offering up to 24 dedicated virtual ADC instances (vADC) per app/service, complete isolation between instances which will not impact neighboring application performance, and FastView®, best-in-class application acceleration features and an innovative security offering.

The Alteon 5208 also provides real-time tracking of application service levels and can measure real user transactions including errors and end-to-end response time with application performance monitoring (APM) integrated module. This capability permits the quick detection of performance problems across the network and the data center to pinpoint SLA issues.

Leading securities company, Shenyin & Wanguo Securities MU Fund Management (SWS MU) based in Shanghai, China experienced exponential growth of its online business. To ensure its customers can access mission-critical applications in the data center without any interruption, the fund management company deployed the Alteon 5208 as well as Radware's Alteon VA®, an advanced enterprise-grade ADC virtual appliance.

"The way our previous ADC devices were structured, made it very challenging to quickly isolate and address any application service level related issues," says Mr. Guo Jian, IT manager of SWS MU Fund Management. With Radware, we now have an ADC virtualized appliance and can separate our ISP links, internal applications and load balancing through a dedicated vADC instance for each one. We can easily identify and fix any issues as our networks and applications are clearly structured and well defined."

Additionally, SWS MU can upgrade the solution's capacity seamlessly as needed so it can offer unparalleled scalability for future business growth while protecting their investment.

The Alteon 5208 also enables ADC consolidation through its ADC-VX™ virtualization hypervisor which provides the highest vADC density in the industry, allowing organizations to adopt a deployment model of vADC per application for greater operational simplicity and business agility.
