Human Rights Delegates Attend Annual Ramadan Interfaith Dinner

CLEARWATER, Fla., July 07, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Human Rights delegates of the Church of Scientology attend annual Ramadan Interfaith dinner hosted by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) at the Franciscan Center in Tampa in celebration of Iftar, the Islamic ceremony of breaking fast during Ramadan.

Mr. Hassan Shibly, Executive Director of CAIR, as the MC, gave a short presentation of CAIR and a short-film relating the facts versus fiction of the American-Islamic religion.

In attendance were representatives of numerous faiths and Churches, including Cristian Vargas and Sanna Heden of the Church of Scientology to advocate “Freedom of Thought” as Human Rights delegates. Inspired by the words of Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard that “Human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream,” Scientologists support the world’s largest nongovernmental human rights education initiative.

Iftar was observed at 8:30pm sharp by all attendees when they drank water and ate dates, followed by salat-al-taraweeh, the night prayer.
