International Leaders and Experts Uniting to End Sexual Exploitation

Activists, Medical Professionals, Law Enforcement, and more to Join Forces

WASHINGTON, Sept. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The international public health crisis of pornography and sexual exploitation can no longer be ignored. Hundreds of leading organizations and advocates will gather in Orlando, Florida this September 10th-12th, when the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) will host the 2nd annual Coalition to End Sexual Exploitation (CESE) Summit.

The CESE 2015 Summit will provide up-to-date social and medical research on the harms of pornography and how it is linked to sex trafficking, sexual violence, child exploitation, racism, and more. This Summit will build on the successful Symposium held at the U.S. Capitol in July, which explored the role lawmakers have in curbing exploitation. There will also be valuable training for leaders in areas such as media and fundraising, and plenty of networking and strategy time in order to grow a more effective movement.

"This Summit is the only one of its kind in the world," says Dawn Hawkins, Executive Director of NCOSE. "At this event, everyone from liberals to conservatives, from scholars to activists, are all united in the fight to expose the harms of pornography and the way it feeds into all other forms of sexual exploitation. The top organizations and individuals will meet to discuss preventative measures, recovery strategies, policy advocacy, and more in order to solve this public health crisis."

Prominent speakers will include, but aren't limited to, Ernie Allen (Founder, Former, President & CEO National Center for Missing & Exploited Children & International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children), Ed Smart (father of kidnap Victim Elizabeth Smart) and Clay Olsen (CEO & Founder, Fight The New Drug.)
