Brighton Health Plan Solutions and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center Collaborate to Bring an Innovative New Marketplace of Health Systems, Create, to New York Tri-state Area Plan Sponsors and Members

NEW YORK, Sept. 13, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Create, the first marketplace of health care systems in the tri-state area, is collaborating with Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, as well as other major local health care systems, to offer plan sponsors a health care option that will reduce costs and increase quality of care. The first-of-its-kind marketplace enables members to shop for and compare health systems. Through Create, families are able to enroll with a specific health care system of doctors and hospitals, which enables them to develop strong, two-way relationships with health care providers within that system, resulting in better care. The brand-new Create model aligns the interests of plan sponsors, patients, families, physicians, and hospitals, delivering significant savings to plan sponsors and families. Create is available to plan sponsors now.

“We are very excited to be collaborating with Englewood Hospital and Medical Center to offer Create members access to cutting-edge health care services in New Jersey and Rockland County,” said Simeon Schindelman, CEO of Brighton Health Plan Solutions. “Englewood Hospital and Medical Center is well known for its innovative approach to health care, and we look forward to working closely with them to improve quality and reduce costs.”

As a health care leader, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center has been nationally recognized for a number of its practice areas and medical procedures, including cardiac surgery and care, breast imaging and cancer treatment, spinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, maternity care, and bloodless surgery. Through Create, families will also have access to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s physician network, MDPartners, which comprises more than 350 primary care physicians and specialists who work at hospital-based and community practices in more than 75 locations throughout northern New Jersey and Rockland County, New York.

“At Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, we are committed to finding innovative ways to better care for the communities we serve,” said Kathleen Kaminsky, senior vice president and chief population health officer at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. “In partnering with Create, we’re confident that this new health model will support our network of providers in forming even stronger and more effective relationships with their patients.”
