BCG’s Justin Dean Recognized as One of the “Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America”

Dean Was Honored by Savoy Magazine for His Professional Accomplishments and Contributions to the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Efforts

WASHINGTON, March 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Justin Dean, a Washington, DC–based partner at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), has been named one of the "2018 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” by Savoy magazine, a leading African-American lifestyle publication. The list recognizes “African-American executives, influencers and achievers impacting corporate America.”

Inclusion on the list is based on an “exemplary record of accomplishments and influence while working to better their community and inspire others,” the magazine said. Honorees were selected from more than 500 nominees, whose profiles were reviewed by a committee that included Savoy’s editorial board, community leaders, and representatives from academia and business.

Savoy is proud to present the 2018 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America. In this issue, we assembled an elite representation of African-American men and women who have been recognized for their executive and business leadership in national and global-leading corporations,” said L.P. Green, II, publisher of Savoy. “These innovative trailblazers have led efforts to foster growth for some of the country’s highest-performing companies throughout and beyond the US market.”

“Justin is an inspired leader and deeply caring individual," said Joe Davis, BCG senior partner and chairman of North America. “We see this every day in how he lives our values, unlocks potential in those he leads, and creates tremendous impact for our clients.”

Since joining BCG in 2008, Dean has been an active member of the firm’s Energy practice. His client work has primarily focused on the utilities and renewable energy sector, where he has led efforts across strategy, operations, M&A, and advanced analytics topics. In addition to his current role leading the Washington, DC office, Dean is a core member of the Diversity Network, which is responsible for setting strategy and direction for the firm’s Black/African-American cadre. The Black/African-American community at BCG continues to expand, with 2017 seeing the largest diverse class to date.

"I am grateful to Savoy magazine for this honor and to be recognized alongside this group of highly accomplished African-Americans,” Dean said. “I am fortunate to work for a great company that has been tremendously supportive in both my professional and diversity work."

In 2016, Dallas-based partner Michael Sherman was included on the Savoy Top 100 for his contributions to society and business.
