Strong Growth Globally in Academic Medical Center Contracts for OmniComm Systems

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 01, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OmniComm Systems, Inc. (OTCQX: OMCM), a leading provider of clinical data management technology, continues to expand its global footprint in the research hospital and academic medical center (AMC) sector. The contract value of agreements for OmniComm’s eClinical solutions and services for 2018 was more than twice the total volume for 2017 in the AMC sector. Leading academic centers from Europe, Asia and the U.S. have recently signed agreements for a variety of electronic data capture (EDC) and eClinical products, and related professional services from OmniComm Systems.

“Nearly 20 years ago, our original TrialMaster® EDC customer was an academic medical center that ran a seven-year registry using our technology,” said Ken Light, executive vice president of Corporate Strategy at OmniComm. “Since then, our business has expanded to include many industries, but our software and services still work well for prestigious academic institutions with humanitarian missions. We’re happy that our solutions have helped them to fulfill those goals.”

Global Expanison in the AMC Sector
During 2018, OmniComm signed landmark contracts to provide TrialMaster and TrialOne® to several major contract research organizations (CROs) and hospitals in China and Japan. For example,  Guangzhou Boji, a publicly traded company in China that partners with several hospitals, sought an EDC system that could meet its high-quality standards and offer efficiency during early-phase clinical research. Guangzhou Boji selected TrialOne based on total evaluation scores and TrialOne’s compliance with GCP regulations.

Likewise, in the U.S., a leading research hospital with a global network selected OmniComm’s TrialMaster to implement a comprehensive set of solutions for EDC, IRT, clinical trial management systems (CTMS), clinical reporting and overall process improvement. The institution also sought and succeeded in integrating TrialMaster EDC with its EHR system to expedite and simplify data capture.

Throughout Asia, Europe and North America, OmniComm’s TrialMaster EDC, TrialOne and professional services have been selected by academic and medical institutions because of their inherent flexibility, scalability, data quality and broad capabilities to provide a highly configurable, integrated EDC solution. OmniComm’s expertise in integrating electronic medical record (EMR) systems and CTMS with TrialMaster EDC has been an important factor in recent selection decisions.

“I have the greatest admiration for academic medical centers, which often do pioneering work on very tight budgets,” said Keith Howells, OmniComm’s chief technology officer. “As these organizations move up to more productive EDC solutions, we are very proud that they are increasingly choosing TrialMaster and TrialOne from OmniComm.”
