Gauss Enterprise AG is showcasing VIP DocManager, the latest version of the document management component of the VIP unified content management platform, at the DMS Expo, September 26 to 28, 2001. VIP DocManager is a suite of electronic document management tools that enhances productivity and responsiveness by providing secure desktop access to electronic document assets located anywhere in an organization's extended sphere of operations. Gauss will be demonstrating VIP DocManager's power and ease of use in Stand 2230 of Hall 2 at the Exhibition Center in Essen, Germany from September 26 to 28, 2001.
VIP DocManager is a comprehensive suite of tools consisting of report management, document archiving, indexing and optical storage capabilities. VIP DocManager enables organizations to easily retrieve enterprise content from legacy repositories and other applications through uniform interfaces, using a standard Web browser.
Any form of enterprise content can be captured, indexed, and Web-enabled from VIP DocManager's central repository. In addition, VIP DocManager natively supports the greatest number of server platforms in the industry including Windows NT/2000, IBM iSeries 400, Sun Solaris, HP-Unix, IBM AIX and Linux.
VIP DocManager integrates seamlessly with other components in the VIP unified content management. For example, using business rules defined by VIP WorkflowManager, documents can automatically be associated with and trigger sophisticated business workflows, ensuring that the right documents are routed to the right person, at the right time, in the right sequence.
