Intentia's Movex Collaboration Applications Earns SunTone Certification

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 17, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intentia International AB (publ) (XSSE:INTB) announces today that Movex NextGen, the first comprehensive e-collaboration application entirely written in the Java(TM) language, has achieved certification under the SunTone(SM) Certification and Branding Program.

With collaboration from industry experts, Sun Microsystems, Inc. instituted the SunTone Certification program to provide customers of Web-based services and applications with a means of identifying suppliers who meet the high standards for providing quality service over the Internet. The SunTone program's guidelines evaluate applications' integration and transaction capabilities, scalability and security features, as well as availability and uptime disposition. Using the SunTone certified seal as a guide, customers can feel confident that the technology behind Movex NextGen meets industry standards and delivers a high quality solution.

"Collaborative commerce is an important part of Sun's vision for the future of the Internet economy," said Anders Harrysson, Vice President Northern Europe Sun Microsystems. "We are happy to see that Intentia has the same ambitions for Quality of Services as we do: high availability, high quality, agile scalability, and excellent security. Using the SunTone Certified seal as a guide, customers can feel confident that Intentia delivers a high quality solution."

"It is our conviction that the standards that Sun is advocating for service reliability and scalability are what is required to guarantee customer acceptance of hosted e-collaboration services," commented Johan Berg, President Intentia R&D. "Customers require the quality of service guarantee implicit in the SunTone logo and that's why we believe they will choose SunTone branded applications over other alternatives. This certification demonstrates that Movex Java architecture meets industry standards and will be an advantage to those customers and service providers who are considering hosted Movex services."

About the SunTone(SM) Certification and Branding Program

The SunTone Certification and Branding Program is a collaborative industry effort, led by Sun Microsystems, Inc., to promote 7-by-24 service and reliability as a norm for consumer and business Internet-based services. Under the SunTone program, service providers, independent software vendors and integrators have endured a rigorous review process which examines infrastructure, operational practices, hardware, software, and overall service delivery to help ensure that the services or products provided by a company meet the SunTone program's best practices and high quality standards. Certification under the SunTone program is designed to give customers the confidence that each aspect of the company's operations and infrastructure has been evaluated and judged to be reliable and of high quality based on industry-derived standards. Launched in May 1999, The SunTone program currently has more than 1500 applicants for certification and more than 150 SunTone Certified solutions available to meet a variety of business needs.
