The Swedish Kronoberg County Council Buys Information System from TietoEnator

ESPOO, Finland, Jan. 14, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Kronoberg County Council has signed a contract with TietoEnator to purchase the Flexlab/Kemi information system. TietoEnator currently leads the market in the Nordic region in the area of computer support for medical laboratory techniques.

Flexlab/Kemi is a logical and user-friendly system that can be used in both the smallest and the very largest laboratories. Flexlab/Kemi has been highly successful and five out of seven university hospitals in Sweden now use the system. Several hospitals in Norway and Iceland have also bought the system.

 - It's extremely important that our laboratories work quickly and
safely. Flexlab/Kemi finally enables us to coordinate all the
county council's laboratory activities. Only the laboratory in
Vaxjo was computerized before, but now we can also increase the
efficiency of the laboratory in Ljungby, says project manager
Kristina Ronn at the general hospital in Vaxjo.

 - Kronoberg is TietoEnator's first new customer since we took over
Flexlab/Kemi and therefore proof that the market still has
confidence in both Flexlab/Kemi and TietoEnator as supplier of the
product, says Ola Gustafson, CEO of TietoEnator HealthCare Sverige.

The installation of Flexlab/Kemi for Kronoberg County Council, which is valued at about SEK 2 million, will be completed during 2002.

The system is a client/server system developed for Unix. The client application complies with Microsoft guidelines, which means that users familiar with, for example, Microsoft Word or Excel will immediately feel at home with Flexlab/Kemi.
