The Grout Law Firm Announces Class Action Suit Against Captec Net Lease Realty, Inc. and its Successor-in-Interest Commercial Net Lease Realty, Inc. -- NNN, CRRR


SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- On January 10, 2002, a class action law suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of all persons or entities who purchased the common stock of Captec Net Lease Realty, Inc. ("Captec") (Nasdaq:CRRR) between August 9, 2000 and July 2, 2001. The suit alleges claims against Captec, Commercial Net Lease Realty, Inc. (NYSE:NNN), and certain of their officers and/or directors for violations of Sections 10 and 20(a) of the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934. The suit alleges that defendants made materially false and misleading statements to the market concerning the value of a note payable to Captec and the value of Captec's interests in a joint venture and certain limited partnerships.

If you purchased the common stock of Captec between August 9, 2000 and July 2, 2001, you may, no later than 60 days after the date of this news release, request that the Court appoint you as lead plaintiff. A lead plaintiff is a representative party that acts on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. In order to be appointed lead plaintiff, the Court must determine that the class member's claim is typical of the claims of other class members, and that the class member will adequately represent the class. Under certain circumstances, one or more class members may together serve as "lead plaintiff."
