HERNDON, Va., Feb. 12, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced today that its Information Technology sector has been named an Authorized Executive Partner of Hewlett-Packard Company's OpenView software business unit, the highest designation currently offered by HP OpenView.
The designation indicates that Northrop Grumman has achieved the highest levels in e-services solutions for network and systems management utilizing HP OpenView's solution portfolio. Additionally, this announcement makes Northrop Grumman one of only seven HP OpenView Executive Partners in the world.

"As the only federal government provider to achieve the highest designation available to partners of HP for its OpenView technology, we have established primacy in a field of growing significance for our customers in both the federal government and the private sector."

To achieve Executive Partner status, Northrop Grumman technical staff were certified in a set of HP OpenView solutions and equipped to implement those solutions. As an Executive Partner, Northrop Grumman is encouraged to offer its input in the creation of new products and programs and to develop close relationships with HP OpenView executives, software development teams and sales teams.
Northrop Grumman is also involved in large-scale deployments of enterprise management solutions utilizing the HP OpenView solution portfolio for the Bureau of the Census, the United States Marine Corps and several other federal entities.
