Computershare Signs Global License Agreement with ReadSoft

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 20, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- ReadSoft:

After several years of successful use, the Australian finance and technology provider Computershare has signed a global license to roll out Eyes & Hands FORMS on their international markets. So far Computershare has invested approximately 700,000 USD in ReadSoft's software. Computershare will now further expand the use of FORMS in their global share registry in South Africa, England, The U.S. and Canada. The order value is USD 150,000.

Computershare is a leading financial services and technology provider for the global securities industry, managing more than 68 million shareholder accounts for over 7,500 corporations. Since 1978 Computershare provides solutions to listed companies, investors, stock exchanges and institutions.

At an early stage Computershare saw the value of using ReadSoft's product FORMS to read and interpret the vast amounts of forms and financial reports in Australia and New Zealand. Now Computershare has decided to introduce the software to their global activities and will glean the benefits of substantial cost savings as a result.

Carol Clough, General Manager, Computershare says, "Computershare's share registry involves the processing of vast amounts of paper-based forms, which requires an equally enormous time and labour component. By using ReadSoft's technology Computershare will facilitate rapid and more accurate processing of documents and the product will heavily reduce the amount of paper in the registry business".

ReadSoft is the market leader in the development and sales of software for automatic data capture, which is software that automatically registers and interprets data on forms and invoices in paper or electronic format. Since its establishment in 1991,ReadSoft has evolved into a global corporation with twelve subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, The UK, The US, Chile, Brazil, Mexico and Australia. In 2001 the turnover was 30 MUSD. In 2001 the Swedish business magazine Veckans Affarer awarded ReadSoft the title "IT-Company of the year".
