TietoEnator to Supply the IT System for Rolling Stock Inspections to the Finnish Rail


ESPOO, Finland, Feb. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Finnish Rail Administration, responsible for the rail network and the safety of rail traffic, has chosen TietoEnator Oyj as the supplier of the IT system for the rolling stock inspection operations. The Oracle- based inspection system, adapted to the IT architecture of the Finnish Rail Administration, is designed for further improving the efficiency of inspection operations of trains, locomotives, coaches and construction machines as well as vintage rolling stock.

Finnish Rail Administration chose the supplier for its inspection IT system on the basis of the results from a definition project started last spring. TietoEnator has implemented similar solutions for road, water and air traffic also.
