Nokia Mediamaster 210 T Provides Easy Access to Digital Television

The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T, Nokia's latest innovation for the home, is a terrestrial digital television receiver that provides the easy access to high quality digital television. Based on Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) standards, the Nokia Mediamaster 210 T enables access to free-to-air television and radio channels while providing the added value of conditional access via a common interface slot and the opportunity to access Pay-TV. It is a fusion that enhances the pure entertainment experience of digital TV.

The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T offers an attractive compact design together with plug and play digital television access from practically anywhere. Consumers simply install the Nokia Mediamaster 210 T by connecting an existing rooftop aerial or an active indoor antenna. The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T offers high quality audio and video, supporting Dolby Digital(R) and the ability to update as new functions and services become available.

"The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T offers up a whole new world of digital television access - both free-to-air and pay channels. The family TV is open to the huge array of digital content available, including entertainment, sports, news, movies, radio channels and more," said Pekka Kuusela, General Manager Sales, Nokia Home Communications. "The launch of the Nokia Mediamaster 210 T further consolidates Nokia's leading role in the global free-to-air digital receiver market".

The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T is easy to use, offering an onscreen Nokia Navi(TM) Bars user menu and an electronic program guide (EPG), thus allowing rapid navigation between TV and other digital content. Consumers have the ability to create up to eight personal favorite lists from a memory of hundreds of channels. The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T also features some of Nokia's most popular games, such as Snake, Tic-Tac-Toe and the new Card Deck game.

The Nokia Mediamaster 210 T will be available in selected parts of Europe in Q2 2002. A satellite version based on the same Nokia platform and offering many similar features, will be available summer 2002 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
