RALEIGH, N.C., March 12, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Orion International is pleased to welcome Chuck Mallory as the newest member of its Strategic Account Management Team. Mr. Mallory will be joining Senior Strategic Account Managers David Derr, Steve Casey, and Chris Beck, to deliver "America's Leadership Solution(sm)" to Orion's client partners in the pharmaceutical, medical, and biotechnology industries, from Orion's newest office in Hawthorne, NJ.
Chuck joins Orion International after 11 years in the pharmaceutical industry and 5 years service as a Junior Military Officer in the U.S. Army. Orion International is headquartered in Raleigh, NC, and has nine other locations, located near major military and business centers nationwide.
Chuck's most recent assignment was with Baxter BioScience in Los Angeles, CA, as an Independent Quality Systems Consultant. As Director of Quality Systems Implementation for Manufacturing Professionals, Inc., a company he co-founded in Hawthorne, NJ, he successfully prepared the Los Angeles plant for a major FDA inspection, and was instrumental in helping Baxter avoid a Warning Letter and further regulatory action as a result of a positive inspection.
Prior to starting up Manufacturing Professionals, Chuck spent 10 years with Schering Plough. During his career, he has held positions of significantly increasing leadership responsibility in the fields of packaging, quality control, manufacturing, logistics, production planning, engineering, sales, and plant management. In his last assignment as Schering-Plough's Director of Production Operations, he managed the largest manufacturing and packaging plant in Schering Plough's domestic system, supporting over $2 billion in annual sales. He led his plant through the most extensive FDA inspection in Schering Plough's history, with no production-related findings. Throughout his entire career with Schering Plough, Chuck never had an adverse FDA inspection finding under his watch.
Chuck received his commission as Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army from the U.S. Military Academy in 1985, and holds a B.S. in Management. He completed his Infantry Officer Basic and Ranger School Training at Fort Benning, GA, and spent his remaining active-duty years with the 7th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, CA. With the 7th Infantry, Chuck participated in several major deployments, including Team Spirit in the Republic of Korea in 1987, and Jungle Operations Training in the Republic of Panama in 1989.
