ReadSoft: German SAP User Implements INVOICES

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 22, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Emons Spedition GmbH, an international logistics company based in Cologne, has purchased ReadSoft's software INVOICES to process incoming invoices. Approximately 100,000 incoming invoices will be scanned, interpreted and verified annually. Emons Spedition is the first SAP R/3 user in Germany to implement ReadSoft's SAP-validated INVOICES solution.

The switch from manual to automatic processing of supplier invoices will save Emons Spedition a great deal of time and improve the data quality. Previously, errors often occurred as a result of manually keying in data. Moreover, the solution provides rapid access to digital data, a significant advantage compared to the previous system of searching through paper archives.

According to Georg Haken, head of the invoicing department at Emons Spedition, one of the main reasons for choosing ReadSoft's solution was its cost-effectiveness.

"Previously it took three full-time employees to manually process our invoices. Half of their time can now be spent on more specialized tasks.

Jan Andersson, MD at ReadSoft AB commented: "The first order from a German SAP user is of course of great importance to our global INVOICES roll out. Emons Spedition is a fine reference and strategically important in our efforts to attract customers in the SAP sphere in Germany as well as internationally."

ReadSoft's INVOICES solution is designed to recognize the unstructured invoice documents and to capture data such as sender, invoice number and invoice amount from anywhere on the invoice. At the same time, the software checks the data against information in the SAP system.

ReadSoft is the market leader in the development and sales of software for automatic data capture, which is software that automatically registers and interprets data on forms and invoices in electronic or paper format. Since its establishment in 1991, ReadSoft has evolved into a global corporation with twelve subsidiaries in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, the UK, the US, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Australia. In 2001 the turnover was 29 MUSD, and the Swedish business magazine Veckans Affarer awarded ReadSoft the title "IT Company of the Year 2001."
