Northrop Grumman Receives Purchasing Award From Greater Los Angeles African-American Chamber of Commerce


NEWPORT NEWS, Va., April 12, 2002 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced today that it has received the 2002 Purchasing Award from the Greater Los Angeles African-American Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented to the company's Newport News sector for its long-standing practice of purchasing goods and services from small and disadvantaged businesses.

"Northrop Grumman Newport News reaffirms its commitment to find opportunities for small businesses that provide quality products and services," said Veasey Wilson, executive director, Supply Chain Management for Newport News, who accepted the award on behalf of the company.
