STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telia Mobile in Sweden has signed an agreement with Generic Mobile Systems AB to transfer its Minicall paging service. Generic will continue to run the service as from 25 April 2002. The transfer is a part of streamlining the Swedish operations of Telia Mobile.
The deal means that customers will still be able to use Minicall in the future.
- We are very pleased with this deal because it means that our customers will still be able to use the service in futures while we can concentrate on our core business, says Mats Salomonsson, Acting Head of Telia Mobile Sweden.
Telia will be managing the operation of the Minicall network for a transitional period.
Generic Mobile Systems AB, which is taking over Minicall, is a telecommunications operator specialising in mobile data communication.
