Harsco's Heckett MultiServ Division Awarded New Multi-Year Contract for Steel Mill Services in Canada


HARRISBURG, Pa., April 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Worldwide industrial services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) today announced that its Heckett MultiServ division, the world's leading provider of on-site, outsourced services to steel mills and other metallurgical producers, has been awarded a new multi-year contract to provide on-site slag handling, metal recovery and other production support services at the Co-Steel Lasco mill in Whitby, Ontario, one of the largest and most efficient Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel producers in Canada. Terms were not disclosed. The plant, located 35 miles east of Toronto on the north shore of Lake Ontario, produces one of the widest product ranges of any single steel plant in North America, serving the construction, manufacturing and fabrication industries.
