STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 2, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telia Mobile launches Telia Prepaid in Finland, a prepaid subscription, as the first product resulting from the national roaming agreement with Suomen 2G Oy, announced on April 9.
"We are very pleased to introduce a product that can use our own GSM network where the network is available, and the Suomen 2G network elsewhere. This finally makes it possible for us to fully exploit our own network capacity. A prepaid connection is also a superb product, since it enables the customer to control his or her traffic and content expenses. The national roaming agreement will also make it possible to introduce other comparable products in the future," said Erik Hallberg, Acting Head of Telia Mobile Finland.
Facts about Telia Prepaid
Telia Prepaid is a prepaid mobile phone subscription. No monthly fees will be charged. Instead, the subscriber will only pay for the use of the subscription. The sales of the new subscription type are starting today. The subscription can be used via the Telia GSM 1800 network in major Finnish towns and via the national Suomen 2G GSM network elsewhere in Finland.
