Telia: The County Administrative court rules on interconnection charges

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 17, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- On January 30, 2002 the Swedish National Post and Telecom Agency, Post och Telestyrelsen (PTS), ordered Telia to reduce its interconnection charges on the GSM network from SEK 1,18 per minute to SEK 0.92 per minute as of March 1, 2002. Telia submitted an appeal, on February 20, 2002, against this decision to the County Administrative Court.

The County Administrative Court rejected Telias appeal on May 16, 2002. This implies that Telias interconnection charges on the GSM network is SEK 0.92 per minute as of March 1, 2002.

The price of interconnection charge is the price charged by telecom operators to other operators when they use each other's networks
