Northrop Grumman Small Business Director Selected One of 50 Influential Minorities In Business

IRVING, Texas, May 24, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gloria Pualani, director of socio-economic business programs for Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) and its Integrated Systems sector, was honored May 23 as one of the Fifty Influential Minorities In Business.

The Minority Business and Professionals Network grant this prestigious award annually. The U.S. Army's director of small and disadvantaged business utilization nominated Pualani for her role in developing and maintaining a notable socio-economic business program for Northrop Grumman and for demonstrating strong leadership in support of small-, minority- and women-owned business concerns.

"Northrop Grumman seeks a diversified base of suppliers and is committed to building and sustaining long-term relationships with our small business partners," Pualani said. "There are many advantages to doing business with small-, women- and minority-owned businesses, and this award recognizes the company's progress in this important area. Much of our company's strength comes from small businesses, whose innovation and efficiency improves our performance and competitive edge in the marketplace."

The awards were presented May 23, 2002, at the Fourth Annual Fifty Influential Minorities In Business Awards Gala in Washington, D.C. The theme this year was "Celebrating Excellence and Courage."
