Drott Retires Shares


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 29, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Annual General Meeting of Drott decided on April 24 to retire 9,273,474 repurchased shares. Furthermore, the AGM gave the Board of Directors a mandate to repurchase additional shares to the extent that the holding of Drott's own shares amounts to a maximum of 10 percent of the shares in the company.

The process of retiring the shares is now complete. The new repurchases began on May 27, when Drott repurchased 50,000 shares at a price of SEK 110.50 per share. Drott's holding of its own shares subsequently amounts to 600,000 of a total of 92,415,285 shares in the company.
