Skanska: Comment on Today's Article in Swedish Financial Daily, Dagens Industri


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 7, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- In respect of today's press article about a future change of president at Skanska AB, Sverker Martin-Lof, Skanska's Chairman, provides the following clarification:

"Claes Bjork has announced that he does not intend to extend his employment contract, which expires in July 2003. Accordingly, the Board has decided to commence a recruitment process aimed at finding a successor in good time, so that the changeover can be implemented in a well-planned manner. It is also our hope and objective to find Claes Bjork's successor from within the Group," said Sverker Martin-Lof, Chairman of Skanska AB.
