NCC to Build Service Center for Visually Impaired in Helsinki for SEK 156 Million


SOLNA, Sweden, June 13, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC Construction Finland has been commissioned by the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired to build a national service center in Helsinki for visually impaired people. The total value of the project is approximately SEK 312 million (EUR 34 million), of which NCC will account for half, corresponding to about SEK 156 million (EUR 17 million).

The service center, which will be fully adapted to the needs of disabled people, will consist of six stories containing a total of approximately 15,600 square meters of floor space. The building is designed by the Lahdelma & Mahlamaki architect firm.

Finland's Slot Machine Association will account for 70 percent of project financing.

The service center will be completed at the end of 2003.
